Busy & Mother's Day

Well, we have been busy. The last few weekends have been booked and it doesn't look like it is going to stop! We've been able to get a few things done around the house, but otherwise we've been on the go. I don't think I can remember it all so I'll just start updating from this past weekend.

Friday night:
Since we were going to be busy on Saturday, we went out to dinner on Friday to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary (May 10th). We went to Red Robin and had a lovely time. B enjoyed watching everyone and trying to drink from a straw (first attempt). The straw experience was funny. She figured out how to get the water up the straw, but didn't know to close her mouth so it would just drip right out and on to her clothes. She would also get quite the surprised look when she was successful. :)

Saturday:
We had a memorial service to attend in the morning. It was for a former youth leader of Mommy's who Mommy eventually work along side in youth group for many years. Mommy wishes she had kept in better contact with him. :( There were friends there that we had not seen for a long time so it was nice to catch up.

In the afternoon we had a photo scavenger hunt with our small group from church. It was boys against girls. We had so much fun. It is amazing how friendly people can be when you tell them that you need a photo of your group loading their groceries, sitting in their car, pumping their gas, etc. After the hunt we all gathered together for great fellowship and food.

Sunday:
Mommy's first "official" Mother's Day! When Mommy was getting up Daddy asked her what she would like for breakfast in bed! It was such a treat! Mommy doesn't normally have time to have breakfast on a Sunday morning. :) We then had church. It was a very nice morning. After church we headed home to change, pick up Jack and then to MomO and Papa's house. Papa grilled chicken for lunch. Uncle Floyd and Mama were there as well. It was a very nice Mother's Day. We'll be celebrating Mother's Day with JJ and GrandDad this coming Saturday. We're really looking forward to visiting with them. :)

This brings you up to speed.
